* No UV or IR- Fiber optic systems eliminate virtually all ultraviolet and infrared rays from the light fixture, resulting in increased shelf life for perishables and the preservation of fabrics, paints, artifacts, etc.
* Maintenance- Fiber optic systems feature significantly fewer lamps than traditional lighting, and therefore require less frequent lamp changes. A remote light source can also provide a huge benefit in applications where fixtures are inaccessible.
