Joe Kaveski

Director and Chief Executive Officer

May 2008 to present. Prior to joining Energy Focus, Inc., Mr. Kaveski led his own strategic engineering consulting business, TGL Company. As a consultant he worked with equity investors and publicly traded companies on strategic initiatives and planning. Other corporations Mr. Kaveski has worked for include Johnson Controls, Inc where he was VP of Energy Management Solutions and Strategic Programs. Joe holds a BS in electrical engineering for the University Of Missouri Columbia / Kansas City.

John M. Davenport

President

May 2008 to present. Prior positions at Energy Focus Inc were Chief Executive Officer -July 2005 to May 2008. Chief Operating Officer - July 2003 to July 2005. Vice President and Chief Technology Officer - November 1999 to July 2003. Prior to joining Energy Focus, Mr. Davenport served as the president of Unison Fiber Optic Lighting Systems, LLC from 1998 to 1999. Before that, Mr. Davenport served at GE Lighting in various capacities for 25 years.

Eric Hilliard

Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer

2007 to present. Eric is an operations and management professional with more than 15 years of experience in manufacturing operations.  Prior to his position as COO he worked for the Saint Gobain Company. Prior positions include 7 years with the Goodrich Corporation in operations and with the HJ Heinz Company. Eric is a veteran of the United States Navy as an Operations Specialist on deployments around the world including the Middle East. He received his Bachelors Degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and his MBA from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio. 

Roger Buelow

Chief Technology Officer, General Manager, and Vice President

July 2005 to present. Vice President Engineering from February 2003 to July 2005. Prior to joining Energy Focus, Mr. Buelow was the director of engineering at Unison Fiber Optic Lighting Systems, LLC from 1998 to 1999.

Mark Plush

Chief Financial Officer

July 2011 to present. Mr. Plush brings over 28 years of financial management experience. He held the role of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer with Keithley Instruments for the last twelve years. Prior to his role as CFO for Keithley Instruments, Mr. Plush served as Corporate Controller for sixteen years. He received a master’s degree with an emphasis in accounting from Case Western Reserve University and a bachelor’s in marketing from John Carroll University. Outside the office, Mr. Plush is a University Hospitals board member and a regular speaker and business resource for Junior Achievement.
