Energy Focus, E3 Announce Completion of Cooke County Energy Savings Lighting Project
Energy Focus, a leader in LED lighting technologies, and partner contractor E3, a leader in energy efficiency and LED projects, have announced the completion of a full LED retrofit at the Cooke County Justice Center that is projected to yield $210,000 in energy and operational savings over ten years. Utilizing budgeted funds, the Texas county installed interior linear lamps, exterior wall packs, and parking lights.
Judge Jason Brinkley stated, “In addition to a safer parking lot and improved working environment for County employees, projected savings from the lighting project will allow us to put over $110,000 back into the County budget over the next ten years.”
Cooke County chose the Energy Focus TLED lamps, which are 60% more efficient than their existing T8 fluorescent lamps and are the industry’s only 100% flicker-free LED lights. In addition to energy savings, the new LED linear lamps have a ten-year warranty, do not require ballasts, and greatly reduce maintenance for more than a decade.
The County worked with E3 on the lighting initiative. As a turnkey design-build contractor, E3 conducted an initial analysis, presented product options to the County, and designed and installed the project in under 30 days.
Tim Evans, Vice President of E3’s Lighting Division stated, “One of our core offerings is providing lighting solutions focused on saving energy, addressing maintenance issues, and creating better environments. The project in Cooke County accomplished all of these goals while freeing funds that enable the County to focus on their true mission of serving the community.”
