When Architectural Floors of Cleveland started thinking about upgrading the lighting in its Cleveland facility in early 2008, it was an easy choice when they were introduced to Energy Focus Inc. Energy Focus Inc. provided them with the same level of detail and full service commitment that Architectural Floors of Cleveland offers its customers. Both companies understand that there is not a “one size fits all” solution in quality architectural design. Energy Focus' catalog of energy efficient, easy to install and maintain lighting solutions ensured Architectural Floors of Cleveland would receive the most impactful solution for its lighting needs.
First, a quick site analysis determined that fluorescent high bay and low bay fixtures would be the ideal choice for their impressive warehouse. These fixtures were equipped with motion sensors in areas that are not always in use; the lights only turn on when somebody is in the space. Additionally, areas were connected to simple switches to allow workers to turn the lights on and off when they are needed.
Overall Architectural Floors was able to reduce their energy consumption by 31,827 kWh. Ultimately, Architectural Floors of Cleveland has reduced their lighting impact on the environment in 2009 through lowering their CO2 release by 66,228 lbs or 13 tons of coal not being burned, or the equivalent of 7 cars being removed from the road!
