Utility Rebate Programs
Lighting accounts for 20-30% of the energy used in a commercial or industrial building. Reducing individual lamp consumption can have an immediate noticeable effect on the entire energy bill. As part of utility companies’ efforts to reduce energy consumption many are offering unique monetary rebates to customers who replace old inefficient lighting technologies with new energy efficient solid state technologies. We have gathered some resources below to help understand these programs in more detail. The Members expect the products from their QPL will eventually be incorporated into the ENERGY STAR list once corresponding categories are added. Today there are 32 categories to qualify specialty SSL Luminaires.
