On Display at NJSBA – The Latest Standard in School Lighting
This week, Energy Focus is packing our bags and heading to the New Jersey School Board Workshop to enlighten the education industry about the latest standard in school lighting – LEDs. “Empowering the 21st Century Student,” is the theme of this year’s workshop, representing hope and aspiration for New Jersey’s public schools, a topic near and dear to the hearts of those at Energy Focus who have always stood at the forefront of health advocacy for students.
Fluorescent lighting, in most classrooms today, emits significant “flicker” that can be detectable by the naked eye, causing the onset of cataracts, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and even blindness over time. Studies have shown that LED lighting provides children with incredible results by improving their concentration levels and classroom performance.
