Setting the New Standards for School Lighting at EDspaces 2015
The next stop on our journey to create a better learning environment in classrooms across the United States is EDspaces, a conference and expo dedicated to helping architects, facility planners, designers and administrators learn about the latest trends and services to enhance student learning. The conference, taking place in New Orleans from October 28-30, is the only international tradeshow of its kind to bring together the professionals who design, build, and manage all types of learning environments and educational campuses.
An important part of creating the best learning space possible is the lighting you choose. Lighting has always been a vital part of everyday life, but its particularly important in classrooms where young students are prone to light sensitivities. Schools all across the country are making the switch from fluorescent light to our tubular LED lighting. Most recently, Energy Focus teamed up to retrofit Leckie Elementary, a school in Washington DC that had never tried LEDs but was suffering from their ongoing problems with fluorescent lighting. For more information on how our retrofit project positively impacted their students, check out this article here.
