US Navy Military Experts Learn More about Energy Focus “Military Tough” LED Solutions at the 2016 SNA Show

Energy Focus and our partners ADS, Inc. made a splash at the SNA show at the beginning of the New Year. Collectively, we lit up the show with our LED lighting technology and connected with high-ranking US Navy military experts to further educate and receive feedback on our military TLED solutions, including The M1 Intellitube®.  The ‘Military Tough’ Intellitube® (M1) is currently installed in 33% of all U.S. Naval ships, including one of our most recent retrofit projects on the USS Gettysburg.

The US Navy recently demonstrated its continued commitment to transforming its energy use with the launch of the “Great Green Fleet” initiative. A fleet of nuclear-powered ships were deployed this week in San Diego, marking the beginning of this year-long effort to reduce reliance on traditional energy. On ships where Energy Focus’ M1 Intellitube® technology has been installed, energy consumption was instantly reduced by at least 50%, ensuring the resilience and safety of sailors at sea in rigorous environments. Energy Focus and our partners at ADS, Inc. are excited to continue advancing the Navy’s energy goals as we expand installation of our technology onshore to naval base facilities.
